The 5th General Assembly was elected at the March 2017 general election. This consisted of nine independent members, and each served a three-month term from 1 April to 30 June 2017. The final members of the 5th General Assembly were Atealia, Franckley, Cedoria, The Final Horseman, Libertasnia, South Miruva, Llorens, New Lonopolian Empire and Rathfarnham.
Celera, New Tuva SSR and Losinia were each removed and Halfblakistan and Obiristan both stepped down from the General Assembly throughout the government term. Their positions were either directly or indirectly filled by Llorens, The Final Horseman, Franckley, Cedoria and South Miruva respectively.
Due to complete inactivity in the General Assembly chatroom, First Justice Celera was proposed exclusively to the members of the General Assembly for removal via the Vote of No Confidence procedure on 15 April 2017. This procedure was heavily criticised by Cedoria and Llorens, particularly, as the Vote of No Confidence wasn't presented to the general public before its vote and a new bill instituting complete change to the process, the Democratic Confidence Act, was approximately one day from highly likely passing. This resulted in a heated debate on the regional message board, followed by formal apologies from Secretary Losinia and Minister of Defence New Tuva SSR. Rathfarnham was ineligible to vote under the Interest Clause. The results of the no-confidence motion were as follows:
New Tuva SSR
Due to rising tensions between Losinia and New Tuva SSR, which tipped due to disagreements and infighting over the secretive removal and defence of First Justice Celera, New Tuva SSR was replaced by The Final Horseman as Minister of Defence on 18 April 2017 by Secretary Losinia.
Due to their accused incompetence and failure to fulfil Constitutional responsibilities over the first month of the term, now commonly referred to as the April Crisis, Secretary Losinia was proposed to the public for removal by Cedoria via the Vote of No Confidence procedure on 27 April 2017. Following intense discussion closely following the announcement of the motion, Losinia failed to maintain his promise to resume the talk and did not make any other comments for a number of days. Unexpectedly, Losinia departed the region for the allied leftist region of North Korea on 30 April 2017 before banjecting the heavily influential nations of British Accia and New Tuva SSR. The Vote of No Confidence commenced later that day to ensure that proper legal procedure was followed to remove Losinia as the Secretary, although Atealia took over as interim-Secretary from 1 May 2017. Voting was held from this date till 3 May 2017. The results of the no-confidence motion were as follows:
As a result of First Justice Celera's removal on 15 April 2017, Rathfarnham was promoted to the position of First Justice from Second Justice and Llorens was elected in a by-election for Second Justice. The candidates were Llorens and New Prague Workers Republic. Voting was held from 23 to 27 April 2017. The results of the vote were as follows:
As a result of Secretary Losinia's removal on 3 May 2017, Atealia was promoted to the position of Secretary from Prime Minister and Franckley was elected in a by-election for Prime Minister. The candidates were Franckley and New Tuva SSR. Voting was held from 8 to 10 May 2017. The results of the vote were as follows:
Minister of Archives
As a result of Minister of Archives Halfblakistan's resignation, Cedoria was elected in a by-election for the position. The candidates were Auven and Cedoria. Voting was held from 13 to 15 May 2017. The results of the vote were as follows:
Minister of Immigration and Customs
As a result of Minister of Immigration and Customs Obiristan's resignation, South Miruva was elected in a by-election for the position. The candidates were Democraitc Liberan and South Miruva. Voting was held from 13 to 15 May 2017. The results of the vote were as follows:
To pass a law in the General Assembly with the Secretary's endorsement five votes are needed, and without the endorsement seven votes are needed. To pass a law by referendum with the Secretary's endorsement a simple majority of the vote is needed, and without the endorsement two-thirds of the vote is needed. The following are the proposals that were put to vote during the term of the 5th General Assembly (an italic result indicates that the Secretary didn't endorse the proposal):

|Replacement Urgency Act||6-1||Llorens||
