History[edit | edit source]

The Socialist Party was split off from the Communist Party in the 1937 general election. The first official party leader was Ephraim Susenyos. The socialist party has been rather insignificant up until the 60s, when socialism became much more known. During the late 60s, multiple attempts at converting the country into full socialism had failed, even with support of the communist party. This was until the 54th Labuepé general election had elected a Socialist party leader, Kaleb Ormo, as prime minister. Ormo had created a system by the name of Ormoism, which was an economic system adapted to the current Labuepé'ée economy. Most of the parliament had approved a switch to socialism on the 17th of August 1971 due to Kaleb Ormo. Socialism is still a large part of Labuepé, which is why the Socialist party has stayed so relevant.
