Neo Enderion (roleplay)

Neo Enderion, officially known as the Federation of Neo Enderion, is a federation in the Enderion Archipelago encompassing the main islands of Fernhaven, Azurea, Runggen, East Air, and Creonea, as well as lots of smaller islands. It is a member of The Leftist Assembly. Each main island and group of smaller islands is a state, the largest subdivision, with its own state government and limited autonomy, with the federal government maintaining significant control and the state and federal governments well integrated.

History
Original Settlement
The archipelago is believed to have first been settled in the early 1900s collectively known as the GlowStone Archipelago by explorers from other regions as one of the last places to be settled by humans. Azurea and Creonea were colonised by the British Empire who got there first and discovered gold, East Air was colonised by Japan, and Azurea and nearby smaller islands remained independent as the Republic of Azurea (additional verification needed).
Enderion Federation
In the 1981-85 Enderian Civil War, caused by extreme controversy about colonial rule, the majority of the population fled and developed regions were completely wiped out. Following the acquisition of international aid given to help the country, renamed to the Enderion Federation, recover since 1986 by the new socialist government, the economy boomed, especially in the oil sector with the discovery of large reserves of oil, but as much as 90% of the revenue was lost due to corruption.
Modern day Neo Enderion
Due to discontent with the inefficiency and lack of national development from the government, a coup occurred with support of most of the military in 1996 overthrowing the socialist government apart from the mainland and installing a social democratic government, and renamed the country and the archipelago to Neo Enderion, and created a strongly democratic system, still in use today.

Congress
Congress meets in the Enderian Capitol Building in the capital, Brighthaven, and is split into two houses, the Senate and House of Representatives, each with 64 seats, totalling to 128.

Economy
With a GDP (PPP) with a total of less than $1 trillion and $35,714 per capita, Neo Enderion is the least wealthy nation in The Leftist Assembly. Main industries include trout fishing, IT, book publishing, and basket weaving. Since the discovery of oil reserves beneath the area around Runggen, oil brings in about $40 billion annually.
Tourism
The federal government has been taking significant steps to improve the environment and natural beauty of the nation, and tourism is therefore increasing, with about 200,000 annual tourists in 2020 bringing about $60 billion. To serve the increasing demand, more infrastructure is being built for tourists, like a new international airport, rail lines to tourist attractions, and more hotels, retail, and dining.
Transportation
Due to the fact that Neo Enderion is formed from many islands, land transportation is more difficult; this is also why cars were able to be banned so quickly. Currently, the best ways to travel within islands is by bus, walking, and in the case of Fernhaven, Azurea, and Runggen, rail. Inter-island travel is predominantly by ferry and international travel is predominantly by air.
